Ms. Independent: Viktoria Vennice

R&B singer Viktoria Vennice on a bicycle

Viktoria Vennice, an international performer known for her soulful R&B style, is based in the Dominican Republic, having moved there from Los Angeles. In a world of R&B girlies who all sound the same, her songwriting skills, vocal tone, and range are impressive and powerful.

She credits her musical family for inspiring her to chase her dreams.
“I’ve always been surrounded by musicians and singers in my family, which definitely inspired me,” Vennice told Trill Magnolia. “I grew up singing in church, and when I later discovered classic R&B, I was hooked.”

We discovered Vennice on Facebook from a clip of her paying homage to everyone’s favorite (and concert-cancelling) auntie, Anita Baker. As a songwriter and runway model, Vennice began performing at the age of five. After relocating from Jacksonville, Florida, to Los Angeles in 2014, she quickly began to establish herself in the entertainment industry.

Vennice has held residencies in Bangkok, Thailand, Singapore, and Morocco, She has also appeared in numerous hair and beauty editorials and over 150 fashion shows. Among her many achievements are opening for R&B stars Tank and Tyrese, making a cameo appearance on ABC’s Scandal, and being featured in a 30-minute segment on TV One/BET’s “Game of Dating”.

Check out her self-titled debut album released in November available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music
